What's the best and easiest way to strip paint off of a radiator?

I have several radiators in my house (a 110-year-old Victorian) that have been painted over several times by previous owners with thick glossy paint and I want to strip them down to their original finish to reveal the detail work on them.
Sensible Man has the best advise, for many reasons, sandblasting is the way to go:
First, you will not have to deal with one single bit of the mess.

Londrys turning an old house into a new homes

This is the first in a series about people who have left the big city behind and are looking for a better way of life for themselves and their families by settling in our region.

Newcomers to Cobourg, Donna and Larry Londry are in the midst of renovating the former Ontario Cottage built in 1840 and subsequently enlarged 30 years later with a second storey. With much enthusiasm and a little trepidation, the Londrys are turning Sonning House at 181 Ontario St., Cobourg, into a haven of small-town-style living for their extended family.
Hosting Thanksgiving at a large antique table in the oversized dining room with their adult children and friends in attendance was one of the most recent family functions that has already brought them memories in their new home.

We spent a month stripping, painting, lighting and changing radiators before we moved in, we knew the function of all of the rooms. Nothing much has changed since we've been here. Did you work with interior designers or is it all you?
