what type of harley davidson was most popluar in 86?

my friend bought his in 91 but i think it was a 85 or 86. it has an 883 engine and chrome. LOTS OF CHROME. it has a small windshield and back seat.

My guess would be the 883 it was the first Evo Sportster. They did a lot of advertising announcing that you could own a harley for 3995.00
